Food Frenzy: BODIES & BOTS #29
Reading Time: < 1 minuteI admit it…I’m a total food geek.
I watch the History Channel’s series (“The Food That Built America”) about the origins of stuff like bubble gum, drive-throughs, and potato chips.
At the Summer Fancy Food Show, I met a fantastic group of founders inventing healthy options. I also saw established brands bringing nostalgic foods and beverages to a whole new consumer base.
My generation is what I call the 3x spenders. We buy food & drinks for ourselves, our kids, and our grandkids (and even parents if they’re alive). We control at least $15T (yup, trillion) in disposable income.
From the time babies are introduced to ‘solids’ to the last meal in hospice (or hopefully not death row), food is a huge part of our lives.
Here’s a VERY brief history of food and my oh-so-cool video about 15 products I plan to eat for the next 30 years.
NOTE TO BRANDS: Do not ignore 70-year-old women like me! We still buy, eat, and share food and beverages! Don’t you want YOUR share of that $15T?
