Bad Girl, Good Business

Family Secrets: BODIES & BOTS #25

Reading Time: < 1 minute

I’m sorry if you were expecting something  juicy about criminal relatives

(Although, truth be told, I might have a couple of them in the clan.)

This week, I’m hanging out with family at a place we’ve been going to since my daughter was four years old. And I have been coming out here since I was about eight.

It makes perfect sense that this week’s historical blah-blah is about the evolution of the American family. I just responded to a ridiculous article that implied that today’s grandparents should spend more time babysitting…as if we haven’t already spent half of our lives with our own children and aging parents. Call me “Bad Nana.” I’ve actually called myself that in jest.

The reality is that family dynamics have changed radically since 1956, the year I was born.

Even though last week’s theme was BALANCE, I’m still closely managing my screen time (especially because my family is here and I really don’t want to be a bad nana).

So, that’s all you’ll get here this week.
