The 100 Years Club Installment #138: HOT STUFF #11 Roller Coasters

This summer has definitely been like a weird old amusement park….
Metaphorically, of course!
I’ve experienced thrills, chills, some nausea from carnival food, a freak show, vertigo, and whiplash from a bumper car ride.
I’m not going into the details of my week post-move, but suffice it to say that I’m still hoping to win that big metaphorical stuffed animal in the arcade!
As you approach the end of summer, take stock of your own balance between fun and fear and create a plan for August that brings you more joy than terror.
- What have been some of the high points of your life since Memorial Day?
- Have you taken enough time to unwind, relax, and celebrate?
- Who are some of the people you’d like to spend more time with, and have you taken steps to speak with or see them? They could be friends, family, or valued colleagues. Not to be morose, but two connections of mine died last week, and I wish I had known they were sick, so I could have had one final conversation with them.
- Are you focusing enough on “real-world” experiences rather than staring at a screen?
Speaking of which, this post will be deliberately short. As we ease into August, I’m determined to have more amusement and less “haunted house” in my life.
Come along for the ride! Ensure your restraint is securely locked into place!
