The 100 Years Club Installment #152: Do You Say This Enough?
Reading Time: 3 minutes“Thank you!”
That’s it. Just thank you!
These two meaningful words can change the human face and mood almost instantly.
And we don’t hear them enough these days.

I’ve been writing about GRATITUDE since I started blogging back in 2007. (Yikes! Have I really been doing this for 18 years??!! I guess I should be grateful for that.)
Welcome to the 2025 GRATITUDE & PLENTY series…throughout my content I’ll be speaking and writing about how we can “pay it forward” (see below) this holiday season.
The whole concept of giving thanks in November has been commercialized, but the idea behind it is a timeless one. “Plenty” doesn’t just mean lots of stuff and stuffing. You can always serve up a big helping (or even a dollop) to someone in need.

Every time I do something self-indulgent like this, I do something charitable that week. Good for my conscience and for humanity in general!
We chat enthusiastically about a great meal, the season finale of LIB (Love is Blind), or our workout routines and GLP1-boosted weight loss, or our latest content shoot (which I’ve been known to do this year…I’m nothing if not self-aware).
Let’s shift some of that chat this month to OTHERS!
Think about the people and things that have changed your life for the better. Maybe you had a particularly sucky year. I’ve had those. In fact, some of them have lasted five years.
We all know, from scrolling our feeds and watching the news, that the world is not in a great place right now.
But if we focus on what we CAN do and change, perhaps your holidays will be a little brighter.
Start with those two words this week!

Watch for my annual “40 Gratitudes” List for 2025!
It’s been an annual tradition since 2020.
