The 100 Years Club Installment #133: HOT STUFF #6 Passion for Food

Some people simply eat to survive.
Others (like me) have a true love affair with great food and beverages.
This week’s “hot summer theme” is romance, and I’m sharing a podcast conversation with two women from the Meet Market about how not to be just another piece of meat on the online dating buffet.
Let’s forget about sex for a while and move to something equally yummy, which is FOOD!
Related Sidebar: If a guy suggests a chain restaurant for a date, I often get the ick. OK…call me shallow. But taste is taste.
As for food and beverage tastes, what better way to hang out with all your loves than to visit the Summer Fancy Food Show in New York City? (I also plan to go to the Winter FancyFaire in San Diego, which is a new concept from the Specialty Food Association.) The people in the industry, especially the start-up founders, are warm, welcoming, and generous.
An eclectic group of tech and financial services professionals, individuals, couples, and families with big dreams, health-conscious entrepreneurs, and a range of other food enthusiasts, the people I met proved once again that great food is even better when prepared and served with love. (On the flip side, a rude or dismissive founder can leave a bad taste in our mouths.)
Because one of my other passions is storytelling, I’ll be sharing my adventures via a series of four videos.
Here’s the first one, where I discuss food and beverage trends I love.
As in past years, I focused primarily on products that I’ll consume for the next 30+ years, as I biohack my body and mind through better eating habits.
I (generally) followed my rule of no sugar, no gluten, no highly-processed dairy, and no stuff with a long list of ingredients I can’t pronounce.
Watch this space for the details on the 50+ products I adore!
Three more videos to come!
